Discover Worcester County - The Great Outdoors

    The Viewtrail 100

The Viewtrail 100 bike trail offers cyclists a scenic tour of more than 100 miles of Worcester County's unspoiled countryside. The trail takes a circular route, traveling along small country roads, through farmlands and forest, alongside the Pocomoke River, tributary creeks and beautiful cypress swamps.

Passing through the historic towns of Snow Hill, Berlin and Pocomoke City, the trail offers visitors true Eastern Shore friendliness and charm. It is also a short distance from the Atlantic Ocean and Assateague Island National Seashore. A wide variety of accommodations are available nearby, including hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts and campgrounds. There is also a variety of eating establishments and picnic grounds to choose from.

Snow Hill
The undiscovered treasure of the Eastern Shore. Enormous sycamores and stately historic homes, churches and public buildings reflect the rich heritage of Worcester County's seat of government. Stroll the quiet side streets or along the banks of the hauntingly beautiful Pocomoke River.

Pocomoke City
The friendliest town on the Eastern Shore. Settled in the 1600s, Pocomoke City is nestled on the banks of the Pocomoke River. Visit the charming downtown district and stroll across the historic Pocomoke River Bridge.

Pocomoke River State Forest and Park
The Pocomoke River is the deepest and swiftest tidal river of its width in the United States. Designated by the National Environmental Trust as a Wild and Scenic River, it winds its way throughout the northernmost cypress swamp in the country. Bald eagles, snowy egrets, great blue heron, otters, muskrat and deer inhabit the areas along the river banks.

Berlin
Discover the real Eastern Shore. Berlin is a small gem of traditional Eastern Shore life. Its historic district has gigantic magnolia trees, notable old homes, and a downtown Victorian Main Street. Browse the quaint shops and meet our friendly people.
